Senovo IT’s Waste Management Policy (hereinafter ‘Policy’) outlines the duties and obligations of all Senovo IT employees and/or consultants (hereinafter ‘Staff’). For the avoidance of doubt, the Policy shall be updated from time to time by Senovo IT and shall remain at the sole discretion of the board of directors. Any changes shall be communicated to the team via email.

1. About this Policy

1.1 This Policy outlines Senovo IT’s commitment to environmental responsibility and sustainability. This Policy shall outline the procedures for conducting such activity.

1.2 Senovo IT would like to highlight its commitment to the below

1.2.1 Compliance with all applicable national and local environmental legislations and regulations.

1.2.2 Prevention of pollution by using our best endeavours to reduce consumption, recycling

materials and the disposing of waste in an environmentally responsible manner.

1.2.3 Reduction of Staff environmental impact by encouraging all Staff to using relevant public transportation systems for their commute to the office and back.

2. Senovo IT’s Responsibility

2.1 Senovo IT shall use its best endeavours to comply with the following:

2.1.1 Conduct all activities in accordance with the applicable local environmental laws and regulations.

2.1.2 Conservation of energy and natural resources

2.1.3 Encouragement of Staff to use public transport for their commute to the office and back

2.1.4 Reduce, reuse and recycle to enhance our waste management and reduce waste

2.1.5 Inform all employees of the environmental policy

2.1.6 Continue to review and minimize environmental impacts.

3. Our combined responsibility

3.1 Energy conservation

3.1.1 Turn off lights when not in use and the use of natural light when possible

3.1.2 Turn off all work equipment at the end of every workday

3.1.3 Turn off power outlets at the end of every workday

3.1.4 Activate the power down features on your computer to enter a low power or sleep mode

when not in use

3.1.5 Unplug equipment that drains energy even when not in use (e.g., cell phone chargers, fans, coffee makers, desktop printers, radios)

3.1.6 Limit the use of space heaters

3.2 Reduction of material consumption

3.2.1 Effective as of January 30th, 2024 Senovo IT shall be paperless unless required for

administrative processes.

3.3 Reduction of fossil fuel consumption and air pollution

3.3.1 The use of public transportation for commutes to the office and back

3.4 Minimize waste and increase recycling

3.4.1 Recycle paper, paper products, plastic, binders, folders, catalogues, boxes, botles, cans, bateries, electronics, toner and ink cartridges wherever possible.

3.4.2 Donate used furniture and electronics through local community outlets.

3.5 Minimize toxic and hazardous waste

3.5.1 Do not pour toxic or hazardous substances down the drain.

3.5.2 Reduce the use of toxic chemicals and use less toxic alternatives wherever possible.

3.5.3 Do not use or purchase mercury or mercury-containing equipment, unless approval has been obtained.

3.5.4 Dispose of hazardous chemicals appropriately and in accordance with local guidelines.
